STML Successfully Organizing the Generation Proposal Research Workshop

From 6 to 8 March 2014 ago, the Research Committee of the School of Technology Management and Logistics (STML) has organized a Workshop on Research Proposal Generation at Copthorne Orchid Hotel, Penang. The main objective of the workshop is to increase the number of applications for research grants at the university level, particularly national and international. The workshop was attended by 22 participants consisting of the staff who recently graduated with PhD, staff who are waiting for the viva and tutors who will continue their studies at the PhD level in this year.

Program Still Have Caring 2

A total of 35 students from the Association of Operations Management (POM) has entered into a program that is Still Have Caring 2 with the orphan children located at Hostel Orphanage Foundation Saad , Kangar, Perlis . Among the activities carried out with orphanage children aged between 10 and 17 years through engagement with motivation to strengthen friendly ties between participants. Community Service programs can also foster values, a spirit of cooperation and confidence building among the participants.

Study Tour by Operation Strategy Students to NSTP Selangor

On March 14, 2014, a total of 29 students of final year semester for Management Program (POM) from the School of Technology Management and Logistics (STML) UUM has organized a study tour to The New Straits Times Press, Shah Alam, Selangor. The visit is to meet the course requirements BJMP 3053 Operational Strategy for Bachelor of Operations Management (BPOM) offered by STML.

Study Tour to PPSPA, E - Idaman & Waste Disposal Centre

A total of 30 students from the Course Management and Environmental Engineering and a member of the SIG Construction visits to the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleanliness (PPSPPA) to enhance knowledge and skills base on the syllabus of the subjects taught. It aimed to provide exposure to students in managing and implementation carried out by the PPSPPA and E-Idaman.

This tour gives exposure and knowledge to students about solid waste management. Students can also learn the methods used by the E-Idaman in handling and disposing of solid waste. In addition, students are also given an overview of the operation of machinery in the industrial solid waste disposal. The program is expected to provide useful experience for the students.

With this, it can give confidence to the students to be more confident when answering exam. In addition, it is hoped that the programs can have a positive impact for those involved students.
