On March 14, 2014, a total of 29 students of final year semester for Management Program (POM) from the School of Technology Management and Logistics (STML) UUM has organized a study tour to The New Straits Times Press, Shah Alam, Selangor. The visit is to meet the course requirements BJMP 3053 Operational Strategy for Bachelor of Operations Management (BPOM) offered by STML.

A total of 30 students from the Course Management and Environmental Engineering and a member of the SIG Construction visits to the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleanliness (PPSPPA) to enhance knowledge and skills base on the syllabus of the subjects taught. It aimed to provide exposure to students in managing and implementation carried out by the PPSPPA and E-Idaman.
This tour gives exposure and knowledge to students about solid waste management. Students can also learn the methods used by the E-Idaman in handling and disposing of solid waste. In addition, students are also given an overview of the operation of machinery in the industrial solid waste disposal. The program is expected to provide useful experience for the students.
With this, it can give confidence to the students to be more confident when answering exam. In addition, it is hoped that the programs can have a positive impact for those involved students.
