The President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Malaysia Building Society Berhad (MBSB), Dato' Ahmad Zaini Othman shared his invaluable experiences in the banking industry with the students of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). This programme is part of the CEO@Faculty Programme 2016.
The public lecture was organised by the School of Technology Management and Logistics (STML) in collaboration with the School of Economics, Finance and Banking (SEFB). The event was held at Seminar Hall A, Convention Center UUM. The CEO@Faculty Programme aims at providing a unique opportunity for university students to gain knowledge directly from notable industry players.
MBSB is a company incorporated under the Companies Act 1965 and is a scheduled institution as defined under the Banking and Financial Institutions Act 1989 (BAFIA).
Dato' Ahmad Zaini recounted on the issues, challenges and the massive transformation exercise that MBSB underwent since his appointment as the President and CEO of MBSB in 2009. He also mentioned about the awards received by MBSB.
Also present at the event were the Dean of SEFB, Prof. Dr Yusnidah Ibrahim, Dean of STML, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shahimi Mohtar, lecturers and UUM students.
Dato 'Ahmad Zaini also presented a mock cheque of RM100, 000, a contribution from MBSB, to UUM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak in a separate function at EDC Hotel & Residence.
